Welcome to Montezuma Travel Group. By using our website and booking our private transportation services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Booking & Payment

  • Confirmation: A booking is considered confirmed only after you receive an official confirmation email from us.

  • Pricing: All prices calculated on our website are transparent. Unless specified, they include fuel, insurance, and professional driver fees.

  • Payment: Secure online payment is required to guarantee your slot. We accept major credit/debit cards via our encrypted payment gateway.

2. Arrival & Waiting Time

  • Airport Pickups: We track your flights (SJO/LIR). If your flight is delayed, we will adjust the pickup time accordingly at no extra cost, provided the delay is reasonable.

  • Standard Pickups: For hotel or private residence pickups, the driver will wait for a maximum of 20 minutes after the scheduled time. Please be ready to ensure a smooth journey.

3. Cancellation & Refund Policy

We understand that travel plans can change. Our refund policy is as follows:

  • Full Refund: Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled pickup time.

  • 50% Refund: Cancellations made between 24 to 48 hours before the scheduled pickup.

  • No Refund: Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the pickup or “No Shows.”

4. Luggage & Passengers

  • Capacity: Each vehicle type (Standard, Premium, Group) has a specific passenger and luggage limit. Please ensure you book the correct vehicle size for your group.

  • Special Items: If you are carrying surfboards, bikes, or extra-large crates, please inform us in advance so we can provide a suitable vehicle.

5. Safety & Conduct

  • Seatbelts: According to Costa Rican law, all passengers must wear seatbelts at all times.

  • Child Seats: We provide car seats upon request. Please specify the age/weight of the child during the booking process.

  • Illegal Substances: Smoking, illegal drug use, and violent behavior are strictly prohibited inside our vehicles. The driver reserves the right to terminate the service without a refund if these rules are violated.

6. Limitation of Liability

While we strive for 100% punctuality, Montezuma Travel Group is not responsible for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control, such as:

  • Extreme weather conditions or landslides.

  • Road accidents or heavy traffic congestion.

  • Government-mandated road closures.

7. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Costa Rica. Any disputes arising from our services will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Puntarenas, Costa Rica.
